  • Networked Video

    VMT - Video Modular Technology

Use a standard CCTV PTZ control keyboard from a number of popular suppliers to control a netwroked video system using the VMT-4 virtual matrix switcher. The VMT is part of Trantek's special solution components for control and processing of netwroked video security systems. Use keyboards from Pelco, GE/Kalatel and Bosch.

    Encoders and Decoders

Trantek sells a range of third party encoders and decoders that it uses in the engineering of security systems.

  • Public Address - Audio Modular Technology

The AMT is an on-board, EN50155 certified fully digital public address system that networks individually powered speaker/amplifier units interconnected over a CAN Netwrok (Controller Area Network)

The PA system is multi-zoned streaming PCM, ADPCM and MP3 from the main control unit to the network of fully synchronised speakers. Each speaker unit is also capable of locally storing MP3 files that can be triggered to play via one of 4 digital inputs to the speaker unit. The same CAN network is used to connect a two-way intercomm version of the speaker. The speaker network adjusts the sound volume according to background noise levels and reports diagostic information if announcements fail. Self test diagnostics and redundant network connections make this system ideal for mission critical and safety applications.

  • Time Synchronisation

Synchronised digital time displays and NTP time servers. Five and eight digit clocks that syncronise time to an NTP time server over an Ethernet network.

TimeApp is a range of LED display and Master Clocks. The TimeApp master clock is an LED display clock with an NTP Time server built-in. It synchronises time from a CDMA2000 cellular phone network or directly from the Global Positioning System (GPS) and synchronises other TimeApp clocks and computers over an Ethernet Network using the Network Time Protocol (NTP). The CDMA2000 method of time synchronisation is sometimes called indirect GPS because the CDMA cellular network relays the GPS time information from its base stations. The TimeApp master clocks make use of this information to synchronise time.

The TimeApp display slave clocks set their time from an NTP time source. This can be a TimeApp master clock or another NTP server on an IP network.

The Timeapp display and master clocks range is currently being upgraded and will be available from Q2 2007.

Galleon Systems - Based in the UK, Galleon provide NTP Time Servers for time synchronisation of computer systems across the globe. Galleon also provide atomic and digital clocks suitable for all environments.

Time Synchronisation

  • TimeApp 200

  • TimeApp 210

Network Time Server Master Clock and Display

The TRANTEK TIMEAPP 210 is an NTP Time Server and Display. The NTP network time server in the TIMEAPP 210 will synchronise time in computers and other network equipment running NTP client software. The Timeapp 210 can be used to synchronise the Timeapp 200 clock displays.

The TIMEAPP 210 uses "indirect GPS" to obtain the correct time. The GPS time code is relayed by the CDMA cellular phone base stations. This means that accurate time is available anywhere a CDMA phone signal is received and unlike GPS systems the antenna does not need to have a clear view of the sky. The TAD-210 comes with its own small indoor antenna.

  • TimeApp 300

PoE NTP Clock and Eigth Character Display

The TRANTEK TIMEAPP 300 is a Power over Ethernet appliance that integrates alphanumeric messages and time display. The TAD-300 displays time and date and, like the Timeapp 200, synchronises to an NTP time server. Alphanumeric messages can be displayed 8 characters at a time in a scrolling fashion and are preceded by a sound or recorded voice.

The messages and sound files can be stored in the clock and played at time intervals configured for each clock or on demand using a web interface.

  • TimeApp 400

NTP Time Router

The TRANTEK TIMEAPP 400 is a multiport slave NTP time server that can synchronise separate networks.  One port is connected to a network with an NTP time server where the TAD-400 synchronises its own clock.  On each of the other ports the TAD-400 will act as an NTP time server where each Ethernet port is assigned to a different network. On the Ethernet ports designated as server ports the unit will only respond to NTP queries while on the third port, the TAD-400 can be configured with a web browser as well as accepting SSH connectons.

The TIMEAPP 400 is designed for use where accurate time needs to be served across several unconnected networks in a secure manner, without the investment of separate time servers for each network.  There is an option of 3 or five ports.

LED Displays

  • LAN Display

Trantek LanDisplay LED products provide all the facilities of conventional display systems, along with the advantages of TCP/IP network connection, system wide synchronisation, web enabled control and management.

Communication with the LanDisplay is achieved though a number of physical interfaces, available for Ethernet and CAN Networks. Redundant communications interfaces are available for high reliability installations.

The LanDisplay includes an annunciator function, where audio messaging is required. The LanDisplay range is available for indoor and outdoor use as well as for vehicle applications including rail, where EN50155 certification is required.

Networked Video - VMT

  • VMT4

CCTV Keyboard Control Interface

The TRANTEK VMT-4 Networked Video Matrix Switch uses traditional CCTV keyboards as the user interface to a network of video over IP codecs. It provides analogue CCTV video matrix functionality to networked video applications. It is ideally suited to the integration of IP network based video encoders to existing analogue installations or in situations where operations are better served by the use of traditional CCTV control keyboards and monitors.

The VMT-4 can be used in conjunction with other VMT switches or PC based GUI management workstations. The VMT-4 optimises bandwidth use by streaming only the cameras that are being monitored.

The VMT-4 can be used with generic CCTV keyboards using the Pelco ASCII protocol as well as with Pelco and Kalatel keyboards. There is PTZ control for cameras using Pelco D, Elbex EX2000-8000, Calibur and Kalatel ASCII protocol.

If your camera or keyboard is not listed here, please ask us about adding support for it.

  • VMT8

I-BOX Image Analysis Platform

The I-Box is a single camera image processo that provides a platform for running image analysis algorithms. Designed to be installed in legacy analogue video security networks as well as in modern digital streaming video networks

The I-Box is a low-cost hardware platform that takes an analogue video feed and then provides the digitised information to an algorithm (or suite of algorithms) resident in the I-Box for processing. If anomalous behaviour is detected the operator is alerted using the existing alarm network and/or video signal itself. Algorithms can be loaded into the I-Box through a network interface from a laptop PC or through a USB dongle

The power consumption is sufficiently low that it can be powered from existing camera power supplies. The I-Box is built on a low cost high reliability embedded processor with a secure microkernel. The result is a high reliability system able to operate in the field for years without the need for software or hardware maintenance.
